What to bring to classes
Curious on what to bring to classes? We send out an email to participants the day prior to class with all those details, but here is a break down of what is recommended.
Regular Classes
Puppy Foundations, WMD 1.0, Chill Out!, WMD 2.0, Canine Good Citizen, Rally
1) Please leave your dog in the car for orientation on week one.
2) Please make sure your dog has a well fitting collar. Flat, Slip style or Prong collars are just fine. No harnesses please, unless medically necessary.
3) Please bring a 4-6ft leash. ABSOLUTELY NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES ALLOWED.
4) Bring LOTS of small, yummy treats. Pea sized treats are best. Cut up hot dogs or cheese work amazing. Human food is usually way more exciting than store bought treats and makes training in a distracting building way easier.
5) A dog bed is needed for Chill Out!, Puppy Foundations and WMD 2.0. Please make sure to bring a bed with you to class. A thin blanket or mat is recommended for Canine Good Citizen classes.
6) TWMC policy on children in classes is:
All children handlers under the age of sixteen (16) must be approved by the instructor to participate in a class. An adult must be present with the youth at all times. Adults attending classes with children under the age of sixteen (16) must obtain instructor approval before bringing children to class. Limit one child per adult. Children must be supervised, well behaved and not disruptive. Due to the nature of the class type, no children under sixteen (16) will be permitted to attended Chill Out.
